The Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine (CAAU, union) became a media partner of a large-scale anti-fraud event – the VIII International Conference “ANTI-FRAUD IN THE DIGITAL WORLD”. The members of the union took part in the conference on a partnership basis and were able to join the discussion of business risks and possible ways to prevent them.

The Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine (CAAU, Union) acted as a traditional media partner of the XIX International Conference “INTERNAL AUDIT AND CONTROL”, which is held annually for industry professionals. The members of the union also took part in the event and were able to join the current discussion on changes in the audit and new trends both in Ukraine and in the world.

On July 17, 2021, the regular Congress of Auditors of Ukraine took place in Kyiv in the premises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, in which members of the Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine (CAAU) took part. What decisions were made by the auditors – further.

The new International Standards on Quality Management (ISQM) contribute to a sustainable, proactive, global and effective approach to quality management and mark a significant development of existing quality control standards. Therefore, the Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine (CAAU) invites its members and other representatives of the profession to participate in the free webinar “New international standards on quality management. Raising the bar in quality management”, which will take place on June 2, 2021. The event is being prepared by the World Bank's Center for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR) in participation with the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and the IAASB.

The Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine (CAAU, Union) will act as a media partner of the VIII International Conference “New technologies in auditing and risk management”, which will be held online on March 3, 2021. The format of the event is due to the introduction of quarantine restrictions on the territory of Ukraine in connection with the spread of the pandemic caused by COVID-19.

2020 has made significant adjustments in the work of enterprises, organizations, departments and public institutions. The Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine (CAAU, Union) is no exception. The new conditions forced to quickly adapt to them, master the methods of remote working and reconsider the priorities of activities. And although it is quite difficult to plan in the conditions of total uncertainty that the whole world has faced, CAAU has outlined the goals for 2021.

A pandemic continues and, unfortunately, is gaining momentum. Remote work and remote audit are becoming challenges of the new reality. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) has provided answers to the most pressing questions related to remote auditing in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. The answers are of a recommendatory nature. The CAAU has translated these recommendations and offers them to the auditors for review.

The State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine, with the assistance of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, prepared the Risk-Based Approach Guidance for specially designated primary financial monitoring entities (hereinafter – the Guidance), taking into account the recommendations of the MONEYVAL 5th round of mutual evaluation of Ukraine and asked the CAAU to bring this document to the attention of our members.

Despite this state of flux the world is in due to the spread of coronavirus, forced quarantine and change in working schedules, the auditors and professional accountants continue to form trade unions to maintain and develop the profession and to craft an effective strategy of working in fundamentally new conditions.

The Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine (CAAU) will start working as usual from June 1, 2020, taking into account the Interim Recommendations on the organization of anti-epidemic measures in carrying out permitted activities, which include receiving visitors in office premises during quarantine imposed due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19), approved by resolution of the Chief State Medical Officer of Ukraine  No. 16 of May 9, 2020.

Precautions are taken to prevent the spread of dangerous infections, as well as to protect the lives and health of visitors, members and employees of the CAAU.

Indeed, the vast majority of contacts with members and visitors of the CAAU are carried out remotely. If a personal presence in the CAAU office is still required, the reception is carried out only with the prior consent, observing the time interval, which allows to avoid contact between visitors.

In the CAAU office, a social distance of at least 1.5 meters is observed. Visitors are allowed in the office only wearing a respirator or protective mask.

The employees, members and visitors who show signs of respiratory disease are not allowed in the CAAU office. In such cases, the CAAU strongly recommends self-isolating and consulting a family doctor.

At the entrance to the CAAU office there is an opportunity to clean your hands with alcohol-containing sanitizer.

To prevent the mass spread of coronavirus and due to quarantine restrictions in Ukraine and the world, the date of VII International Tax Forum, the media partner of which is the Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine (CAAU), is postponed from April 9 to June 23, 24 and 25, 2020. The format of the event has also been changed – the meeting will be held online to ensure easy access for all interested and in order to comply with restrictive measures regarding the number of participants in mass gatherings.
