Vice President of the Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine and recognized IFRS expert with vast working experience and in teaching, Olena Kharlamova, spoke at the seminar hosted by the Auditing Chamber of Ukraine (ACU).
The event is dedicated to the fist IFRS financial reporting and audit specifics. The seminar was held on February 25, 2020 at the premises of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The representatives of more than 200 accounting and audit companies attended the seminar.
The speakers at the meeting were members of the ACU, recognized IFRS experts. They gave insight into the most relevant issues concerning the transition to the international financial reporting standards and their application.
Olena Kharlamova opened the meeting. She presented the main aspects of IFRS 1 application on the date of transition to international standards. Serhii Rohoznyi, Ruslana Kuzina, Valentyna Riadska and Tetiana Kamenska dwelled on application of the certain standards, namely IFRS 16 “Lease”, IAS “Impairment of Assets”, IFRS 15 “Revenue from Contracts with Customers” and IFRS 9 “Financial Instruments” respectively. Olena Baranovska summarized the reports of the colleagues and highlighted the key points of information disclosure in financial statements.
