On July 17, 2021, the regular Congress of Auditors of Ukraine took place in Kyiv in the premises of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, in which members of the Chamber of Auditors and Accountants of Ukraine (CAAU) took part. What decisions were made by the auditors – further.

Delegates made a number of important decisions during the congress. First of all, the size of membership fees for 2021 is set. In 2021 each individual auditor will pay 800 UAH for membership in the Audit Chamber of Ukraine (ACU), and the audit firm 2,000 UAH.

The ACU’s accession to IFAC was supported by an absolute majority of votes. It will be recalled that the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) is a global organization representing the accountancy profession. IFAC sets and promotes international standards and protects the profession within government policies. The International Federation of Accountants serves the public interest through the promotion, development and support of member organizations and more than three million accountants. Today in Ukraine the member of IFAC is the Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors of Ukraine.

During the congress, changes were made to local acts of the ACU, the report of the Boards of the ACU for 2019 and 2020 was presented, and ACU budgetary control reports for 2019 and 2020 were approved.

The delegates of the congress approved the resignation of the executive director of the ACU Tatiana Kureza. Unfortunately, the decision to appoint a new executive director was not made, as none of the candidates received the required number of votes of the congress delegates.

The Congress of Auditors of Ukraine was held in compliance with all quarantine norms and restrictions and in a favorable friendly atmosphere.
