New Zealand, Singapore and Denmark are the leaders in the easiest way to do business in the well-known Doing Business ranking, which is being prepared annually by the World Bank.
The ranking for 2018 was ready for publication by June 2017. As always, the study was based on an assessment of the norms that promote the expansion of entrepreneurship, as well as those that can restrict business. Experts use quantitative indicators that can be used to assess the level of legal certainty for business conduct and property rights protection, and which allows comparing data from 190 countries - from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe - in line with changes over time.
South Korea took the fourth place and having become ahead of Hong Kong according to ranking in 2018. Accordingly, Hong Kong became the fifth, the United States - the sixth, the United Kingdom - the seventh, and Norway - the eighth. Georgia is in the TOP-10 of leaders this year, but it was the 16th in the ranking of last year. Sweden rounds out the TOP-10 of countries, where it is easiest to do business.
The United Arab Emirates is on the 21st place, Mauritius is on the 25th place. India rose by 30 positions in comparison with last year, having taken the 100th place.
It should be noted that during the preparing Doing Business 2018, experts analyzed gender components for the first time and took into account the issues that women might encounter when doing business in certain countries.
