In the UK, wages of specialists working in the field of finance and accounting increased by 3.3% last year, while wages increased by 2.3% in the country on average. Reed Accountancy & Finance recruiting agency reports.

Advisers to management of accounts payable are paid the most. According to Reed Accountancy & Finance, wages of such accountants rose by as much as 9% last year. Accountants of receivable and payroll are also sufficiently demanded in the market. Employers raised wages of such specialists by 4% during the last year.
Rob Russell, the head of Reed Accountancy & Finance, noted: “The finance and accounting sector earns £ 176 billion annually for the British economy. Each year, this amount grows steadily. This is due to the fact that companies prefer to work with high-level specialists who can manage non-standard situations and generate ideas. An accountant who can perform only technical work is replaced by machines today, but it is not possible to replace the specialists who are able to cope with the complex tasks. The cost of such accountants grows, so companies are ready to increase budgets for hiring the most talented”. The tendency to increase the wages of accountants with high professional qualities will continue in 2018.
